Dorset-based JK Adams remains committed to producing high-quality products from sustainably harvested North American hardwoods.

At JK Adams, the motivating principle is that the kitchen is the heart of the home. It is this belief that drives JK Adams to create the highest quality, crafted wood products for cooking and entertaining. Times have changed but JK Adams is proud to say their values have not. Located in Dorset, they remain committed to producing high-quality products from sustainably harvested North American hardwoods. As a second-generation family-owned business with employees who have been with them for decades, the company is genuinely proud of the products they produce.

In 2022, JK Adams became a Vermont State Benefit Corporation, expanding on its mission to sustainably craft heirloom products that nurture sharing food and connections, while investing in a culture of social opportunity and environmental responsibility for the community and the planet. With more than 75 years of history as an established woodworking facility, JK Adams Company is well known in the community—and nationally—for its commitment to quality and good business.

JK Adams additionally manufactures custom products for a host of nationally recognized brands, such as Williams-Sonoma, Crate & Barrel, and Food52. The flagship Kitchen Store at their Dorset location is a community hub, providing gourmet foods, homewares, and kitchen tools for the home chef. We encourage a trip to see them at 1430 Route 30 in Dorset. Open 10am to 5pm every day of the week.
