Vermont chefs have been opening minds and palates through global flavors, and the trio of superstars featured here embrace their heritages by creating unique dishes that enliven their menus.

Sigal Rocklin, executive chef of Manchester’s The Reluctant Panther, known for its award-winning gourmet cuisine, taps in to her Israeli roots. Maria Lara-Bregatta, founder of Café Mamajuana, brings Dominican flavors to Burlington. Rung Morgan, named the Northeast’s Outstanding Chef by the James Beard Foundation in 2022, offers diners in Randolph a deep dive in to northern Thai dishes.

These chefs have cultivated a loyal following that values authentic cuisine developed with a commitment to bold, flavorful, and fresh. Each remarkable woman shares her unique journey to the restaurant kitchens they now call home.
