Everybody loves a good wedding, and let’s be honest, everybody really loves a good brunch. It makes good sense, then, that with the rise in destination weddings, brides and grooms are opting to continue the celebration beyond the rehearsal dinner and wedding reception to a third party, one with waffles and Champagne.

Here’s how to plan a stylish sendoff in three easy steps.

The people.

The more the merrier, if your budget allows. The farewell brunch is the perfect time to connect with anyone you missed seeing the night before, sans guilt. Otherwise, send invites in advance and follow the rehearsal dinner rules: family, wedding party and longdistance travelers.

The place.

Aunt Carol’s house, your favorite pancake place, or round 3 at your all-inclusive wedding venue—depending on your tastes, any one of these could be appropriate. Keep in mind that after a night of celebrations, some of your guests may be a little worse for wear. A later start time and a more casual vibe will encourage their attendance.

The food.

From fancy eggs Benny to a simple catered bagel bar, once again, anything goes. Our recommendations? Bloody Marys and mimosas, made-to-order coffee drinks, and, frankly, any comfort food that can be drenched in maple syrup. Time to stop watching that wedding figure of yours  and enjoy yourself, foodie.
