Scott Farm is a wedding venue in Dummerston, Vermont.
Why We Love It: The 571-acre Scott Farm, a The Landmark Trust USA property, is home to 125 varieties of ecologically-grown heirloom apples and other fine fruits, a seasonal Farm Market, and the Apple Barn Event Center. All 23 buildings on the property are listed on the National Register of Historic Places. A popular wedding venue, the farm is surrounded by four authentically-restored historic year-round vacation rental properties accommodating up to 22 guests—one of which is Rudyard Kipling’s Naulakha where he penned the Jungle Book. The Stone Trust Education Center, located in the 1862 Barn, showcases beautiful, unique dry-stone wall installations around the property.  The Apple Barn accommodates up to 120 guests, has a commercial kitchen, three restrooms, and is wheelchair accessible. Windows overlook the farm and mountains behind it, making it a delightful spot for special occasions, rehearsal dinners, and wedding receptions. Couples can exchange vows in the Courtyard or by a pond overlooking the apple orchard and stonewalls.   A limited number of weddings are offered May-August. The $3500 fee includes use of the historic Apple Barn, tables, chairs and table settings.  The event coordinator will provide a list of preferred vendors for catering, florists, music, alcoholic beverages, photographers, etc.
